JULY 2018 – JUDGES LIST CRITERIA
A1 LIST
Persons whom the Society would support and who have previously been approved by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates in the Breed and who have awarded at least one set of Challenge Certificates
A2 LIST
Persons whom the Society would support who, if invited to judge by a Society, would in principle be approved by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates in the Breed and who have been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel club for inclusion on an A2 List. Or for persons who have been approved by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates in the Breed but who have not yet carried out an appointment.
A3 LIST:
For persons whom the Society would support to award Challenge Certificates in the Breed but who are not yet approved by the Kennel Club for inclusion in the A2 List;
Breed Specialists:
Persons who have 7 years judging experience in the Breed, with at least 50 classes in the Breed with a good number of dogs present, (an average of 3 or 4 per class) preferably including a Club Show; who have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures; who have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement and who have attended a Conformation and Movement ”Hands On Assessment” conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment and at least one Breed Specific seminar run in accordance with the Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable; who have bred and / or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their 1st entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (Save in exceptional circumstances (KC Policy); and who have carried out at least 12 appointments as a Steward (KC Policy) over a period of 3 years .
Non-Specialist:
Persons who have at least 7 years judging experience in any one breed, including 5 years experience in judging Pomeranians and who have judged at least 50 Classes in the Breed , with a good number of dogs present (an average of 4 per class), preferably including a Club Show;
who has awarded C.C.s in at least one other breed and who has attended at least one Breed Specific judging seminar run in accordance with the Kennel Club Code of Best Practice ; who has bred and/owned a minimum of 3 dogs of any breed when they have obtained their 1st entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book
B List
Persons who have the support of the Society to judge more than 3 classes at Open shows
Breed Specialist:
Minimum experience at least five years as an active exhibitor in the breed
Toy Specialist:
Minimum of 5 years judging experience in any one breed and who have judged a minimum of 12 classes in the Breed with an average of 5 dogs per class
Non-Specialist:
Minimum of 5 years judging experience in any one breed and who have judged a minimum of 20 classes in the breed with an average of 5 dogs per class
C List
For aspirant judges who have shown an interest in the Breed by attendance at Club Shows or educational events in the breed. These persons may be transferred to the B List upon proof of satisfaction of the appropriate criteria.
